Psyc347: Cognitive Neuroscience of Memory
How does the brain keep records of our experiences? Why don’t we remember everything, yet there are people who appear to have this capability? What determines which information is remembered and which information is forgotten? Does sleep help us remember things better? Why is memory sometimes “flawed”? My goal for this course is to introduce you to a variety of current topics in memory research. Throughout the semester, you will explore your own memory and develop a science communication/outreach project that educates a specific audience about an audience-relevant memory topic.
