Equality for Women & Gender Minorities

Gender equality is a basic human right and a necessary foundation for building a peaceful and sustainable world. While significant progress has been made in recent decades, challenges remain. Persistent inequalities in areas such as wage gap, political representation, and access to education and healthcare continue to hinder progress. Social psychology plays a critical role in addressing inequality for gender and sexual minorities by examining and challenging the social norms, biases, and stereotypes that reinforce inequalities. Social psychological insights can inform interventions to reduce gender gap in hiring, leadership, and education and contribute to building more equitable systems and environments.
