CURRICULUM OVERVIEW

In Robotics, students will engage in math, science, and technology standards to complete large long-term projects and small daily tasks.  

1. Understand the concepts of STEM, engineering and robotics

2. Explore VEX-IQ Components and how the controller and robot brain work

3. Build a clawbot

4. Explore levers, pulleys, pendulums

5. Design fun simple machines

6. Apply science and math used by engineers

7. Understand motors, gear ratios, drive trains, manipulations

8. Build a challenge-ready tele-operated robot

9. Learn how sensors work and the basics of programming

10. Apply sensor and programming knowledge

11. Build a challenge-ready autonomous robot

12. Engage in a long-term STEM research project.
