Introduction

The 2023 edition of Counties At-A-Glance features sections of comprehensive county information and comparative data designed for a legislative audience. This report includes separate profiles for each of Nebraska’s 93 counties containing data related to population, health, income and poverty, justice, housing, employment, and taxes. 

Counties At-A-Glance Online offers interactive dashboards that are designed to be viewed on a laptop-size screen in low-light environments. Please see below for the County Profiles dashboard, and please utilize the dropdown at the top of the page in order to view the County Rankings dashboards and the Glossary.

County Profiles - Dashboard Instructions

• Toggle between the gray tabs at the top of the dashboard to view the various data topics: Population, Health, Income & Poverty, Justice, Housing, Employment, and Taxes. 

• The county dropdown above the map will zoom in to a single county and display the data for that county.

• Clicking on a county inside the map will also display data for that selected county and change the color of the map.

• When a county is selected on the map by clicking on it, hover your cursor over the County Information tooltip to visit the county's website.

• To re-set the dashboard: return the county dropdown to All, or click on a previously selected county, or reload the page.

• To pan across the map, hold Shift, click, and drag. Zoom in and out on the map using a mouse scroll wheel or double-click to zoom in and hold Shift and double-click to zoom out. When zooming in or out on the map, a Zoom Home button will appear in the top-left corner of the map - click this button to re-set the map view.
