On Monday evening October 27 at 7 pm. Duane Fenstermann will present the history of the Congregational United Church of Christ.
Fenstermann has researched and authored a church history covering the first 150 years.
Often referred to as “UCC”, early history is closely associated with the early history of
Decorah. This was well prior to the establishment of the Lutheran and Catholic churches.
The program will be held in the Senior Center at 806 River Street with coffee and social time following.
The Congregational United Church of Christ was one of five historic Broadway Street churches the Decorah Historic Preservation Commission gave an annual award for their on-going building preservation. The public was invited to the award presentation Thursday, May 22 at the Decorah United Church of Christ Congregational Center. A Decorah Genealogy Association event.
