Welcome to Ms. Irons' Class. I'm excited to begin my 24th year teaching elementary school, and my 19th year in Lee County. I taught at Diplomat Elementary for 18 years, but this will be my first at NFMAA. I am very excited to be here! I am a graduate of UCF in Orlando, but I was born and raised in Lee County. I attended Evangelical Christian School and Bishop Verot High School. Besides teaching school, I am a local dance and tumbling teacher at Melody Lane Performing Arts Center. I have been teaching dance (ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, musical theater, acro, and baton) since I was 12 years old and gymnastics/cheer since I was in high school.

Besides teaching school, dance, and tumbling, I am an avid reader! I also love Starbucks, Target, Bath & Body Works, and finding good deals on Amazon.  I love to go out to eat with friends and family at places like Outback, Panera, Olive Garden, Carrabba's, and Texas Roadhouse, but if I'm grabbing food on the run between my jobs it's either Chick-Fil-A, Tropical Smoothie, or Five Guys. I am also a Color Street stylist and Thirty-One Gifts Consultant. I love to decorate, especially for the holidays. I also love technology, and at one point I did web page and graphic design for small businesses. My favorite color is purple, and I love the beach and mountains equally.  Finally, anyone who knows me, knows I am a huge fan of pumpkin season!

I am a fur mommy to my almost 13 year old Maltese, Snowball. I adopted him when he was a puppy. He is my world!

I am a firm believer that the key to success is self-confidence. I also feel a giant part of your child's school success is open and honest communication, cooperation, and support between teacher and family. If we follow these two things, we will build a successful learning community.  Please don't ever hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns.

I look forward to making your child's fifth grade year a successful one that helps them find a love of learning, confidence in themselves, and a belief they can do anything they put their mind to as long as they give it their all.

Sincerely,

Ms. Irons
