The Alliance for the Arts is a creative hub that spurs and supports self-expression, imagination, and equity. It is the place to gather, meet new people, start conversations, bring attention to, and, ultimately, solve the challenges our community faces. LAEA proudly partners every year with the Alliance to bring the Future of Art Student Exhibition to our community.
On the first weekend in February, ArtFest will enliven the Fort Myers waterfront with exceptional art by more than 200 select artists, plus lively entertainment, delicious food, and fun children’s art activities. High School students will love participating in the Art Under 20- High School Exhibit and making chalk street paintings during Chalk Block.

Since 1986 the mission of the Foundation has been to enhance the quality of public education in Lee County by increasing community involvement in, and support for, Lee County Public Schools. This is a program for 5th Grade Students in Lee County.
Lee County Kids Tag Art is an educational fundraising project created in partnership with the Lee County Tax Collector's Office and designed to benefit the art classrooms in Lee County Public Schools. The program is offered annually to each elementary school’s fifth-grade students. We are proud to have a program that brings businesses, students, families, and government together to increase awareness and support art in education.
The program is designed to teach children how art is used in commerce, exhibited by 120+ specialty license plates in Florida. 5,600 fifth grade students within 49 public schools will have the opportunity to create a design that will become their very own front-end decorative license plate!
