Climate Detectives

We are the "Terrain Explorers", a team of 10 students from the 6th year ASO of GO! Atheneum Brakel. Our goal is to investigate the impact of climate change on crops using drones and Near Infrared (nIR) sensors. For example, by using our own soil measurements, drones and satellite data, we want to monitor the moisture balance of plants and map the effects of drought and rainfall. With machine learning and nIR imaging, we hope to find connections that will help local farmers protect their crops against climate changes. Our ambition is to combine technological innovation and scientific insights for sustainable agricultural solutions.
