Hi. I'm Joe
I was once a student at LCC Backstage before going off to Uni so I know what it's like to do the course. I'm usually found in our workshop or in the theatre getting things prepared for shows or projects. I'll be around in your practical sessions to lend a hand or to demonstrate how things work.
Joe is always around to help across all aspects of the course. He is the Chroma-Q Theatre Technician and loves building and making things.
My name is Shani. I support SEND and SEMH students, for the Media and Performance Production department. The Backstage classes I work in are Level 2 Production Arts,''The technicians for the future'' . I also support in Performing Arts classes. I work with small groups, including 1:1 to support students in their classes and remote learning, as well as mentoring and running interventions. As part of my work, I monitor the Oasis Room, which is a safe place for students to be if lessons or college becomes overwhelming.
Shani is absolutely wonderful! Always ready to support your learning and always gets stuck in with our practical work!
We are very lucky to be supported by Toby because not only is he great at academic coaching - but he is also a theatre technician!
Hi, I’m Toby and I work as a coach in the department. I have a background in providing academic support to pupils in creative and performing arts subjects, and also in music and theatre production. I work with individuals or groups of students to help them understand their academic assignments, establish good study techniques and habits and fully develop their understanding of the course content.
