Alliance of Black Leaders and Educators

Our Purpose

The purpose of Alliance of Black Leaders and Educators (ABLE) is to empower Black and African American students to achieve their goals at all scholastic levels. Some of the ways in which we engage in this mission are:

• Partnering with families, students, professionals, and concerned individuals in promoting the education of Black students in Lee County, North Carolina.

• Allying with individuals, enterprises, organizations and other groups whose purposes include the promotion of education among Black students

• Publicly celebrating the achievements of Black students and professionals in Lee County.

• Providing outreach and programs benefiting Black students, families and educators

• Supporting educational institutions and community organizations in endeavors to provide educational and training programs designed to interact directly with Black students 

• Aiding local efforts in the resolution of educational issues affecting Black students.
