Who We Are
What is the IB Diploma Programme?
The IB Diploma Programme (DP), for students aged 16 to 19, is a balanced and academically challenging programme of education with rigorous assessment. The DP prepares students for success in higher education and encourages them to become active participants in an increasingly global society. The programme has gained recognition and respect from the world’s leading universities.
Options for LCHS Students:
IB is open to any motivated 11th and 12th grade student at Lee County High School.
Students at LCHS have the option of taking the full diploma track or as many IB courses as they would like under the course selection track.
To be considered full diploma, students must take a course from each of the six subject groups. However, students may be able to double up in one subject group in place of Art.
IB Learner Profile:
The aim of all IB programmes is to develop internationally minded people who, recognizing their common humanity and shared guardianship of the planet, help to create a better and more peaceful world.
