In collaboration with each school’s learning community, the Lee County Media Programs will be the center of teaching and learning by providing equitable and intellectual access to informational resources and tools that are required for student success by extending and providing an accessible and inviting environment to all stakeholders involved in the learning process.
The mission of the Lee County Schools Library Media Programs is to assist students and teachers in becoming effective users of ideas and information. This mission will be accomplished by providing up-to-date, high quality, continuously accessible resources in a variety of formats which enrich and support the curriculum of the school:
By providing learning experiences that encourage users to become discriminating consumers, skilled creators of information, and lifelong learners.
By providing leadership, instruction, and consulting assistance in the design of learning strategies and the use of information technology.
By working with other educators to design learning strategies and skills needed for both lifelong learning and lifelong reading.
