While we will always have a menu of options to choose from based on your student's interests and needs, roughly each 9 weeks there will be one specific area we'll spotlight that we encourage ALL of our Learnwell students to REACH for! Check out the video to hear more about this season's spotlight.
FALL in love with Science, Technology & Engineering!
Hey Reachers! We can't wait for our Tech & Engineering Expo on November 9th so for our first spotlight we're encouraging everyone to get their science on! For local families, this year's Tech & Engineering Expo will feed into our regional GIH Technology Fair, but we will have a separate division and prizes for our Navigator families to show off their own innovations and creations, too. So whether you're near or far, check out the Tech & Engineering Expo page for all the information and links you need. We be-LEAF in you!

Go on a nature walk and collect at least 30 leaves:
Younger grades: Sort the leaves by type or color, and count the leaves in the categories you make.
Upper grades: Create bar graphs, pictographs and/or tally charts to represent the data from the leaves you collected.
Head outside and collect as many sticks as you can find:
Younger grades: Use the sticks to make different shapes and identify the shapes you make. Measure sticks to the nearest inch and sort them from smallest to largest.
Upper grades: Learn roman numerals and see how many roman numerals you can make using the sticks you collected. Bonus: arrange your stick roman numerals in a huge circle in your yard like a clock. Use your 2 largest sticks to create the hour and minute hands on your clock and practice identifying different times.
