WELCOME TO RUTH AND BREANNA'S TEAM AT LEARNING WORKS!
Here is some basic information to help you get started. We are here to help you through all classes that you need in order to complete your work for your high school diploma. Students must make contact with me Weekly. This contact can include meeting in person, over zoom, a phone call, email, or text exchange.
Students are expected to complete two modules per week. A minimum of five modules are due by the last day of every learning period. If you do not meet the minimum requirement you will enter academic probation, be given a notice of “Intent to Drop” and eventually will be dropped from enrollment. The rate at which you graduate is determined by the number of modules completed per LP.

ABOUT YOUR TEACHER AND CHASER
Hi! I'm Ruth, and I have been at Learning Works since we opened. I went to college for pre-med, but transferred to art school, then worked as an illustrator and fashion designer in London and NYC. When my daughter was in school, I rediscovered my love of math while tutoring and coaching math teams. Working with the incredible students at LWCS convinced me to go back to school and get my math credential. I am lucky to be able to share my love of art and math with my students every day. In my spare time I am an activist for social justice and the environment, I read voraciously, and I hang out and watch the Dodgers with my family and three dogs.
Hello, my name is Breanna. I am a proud graduate of Learning Works Charter School, where I earned my diploma in June 2014 while balancing the responsibilities of motherhood. This year, I will be graduating from Pasadena City College with an Associate’s Degree in Child & Adolescent Development and transferring to California State University, Los Angeles to pursue my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. In my free time, I love attending concerts, exploring nature, and creating new experiences with my two sons.
