Here is a video outlining my expectations when students complete a word problem:
Q - Question (Question): What is the problem asking us to find out?
D - Données (Givens): What information is available to us in the problem?
C - Calculs (Calculations): Show all of your work, even the stuff that seems self-evident
L - Logique (Reasonableness): Prove that even if your answer is incorrect, it is a valid response / it makes sense. Show an estimation or other justification for the answer you give
R - Réponse (Answer): Present your answer as a complete sentence which answers the specific question asked in the problem. "The answer is..." is not a valid sentence for this task.
