Welcome to the RBSS Virtual LC! I know online learning will be a tough time for many, but I am here for you! The Virtual LC will always be open, and I will be adding new content daily school days between 7:45AM-2:45PM, such as help videos and useful links. If you don't see something you need, please let me know (kristi.anderton@abbyschools.ca) and I will get it made and put up for you. Please make sure you have logged on to your Learn34 account, so that you will have full access to the video components.

If you do not know your Abbyschools account check for an email from Rita Fussi in your Learn34 account (it was mailed out at the start of February). If you have accidentally deleted this email, please speak to any of your teachers or Mrs. Anderton in the LLC to get your account.

BYOD (BRING YOUR OWN DEVICE) FORM

Our school encourages BYOD for student Chromebooks, Laptops and iPads. If you have one of these devices, you will need to register the device for BYOD (if you have not already done so) for access to the Wi-Fi network when in the school. Please complete page 5 only (334-3 BYOD Consent form) of the fillable PDF, by opening then DOWNLOADING, completing it fully on the downloaded copy (online signatures are accepted) AND SAVING the form. Email the completed form (please check before sending to make sure your changes have been saved) to Kristi.Anderton@abbyschools.ca. Please use the subject BYOD form. Mrs. Anderton will send the request to the district once the form has been checked. You can also pick up a form at the LC, complete it and return it to Mrs. Anderton if that is easier for you. The district does not allow cellphones on the district BYOD network at this time.

INSTRUCTIONS for getting on abbyschools wifi:

You will need to do a quick set up on your device the first time you are in the school after you have registered (please register early to prevent delays). Please choose the PDF for your device from the 4 choices below and follow the instructions to set up your device. Restart your device before attempting the set up, as this will send out a signal to the network. Your credentials will be your student # (also known as pupil #) and birthdate (mmddyy).

LEARN34 ACCOUNTS:

FORGOT YOUR learn34 PASSphrase?

If you have an active Learn34 account but can't remember your passphrase, please email kristi.anderton@abbyschools.ca or come by the LC to see Mrs. A. If emailing please include your account email (if you can remember it), student number, first and last name, and grade. This information will be used to verify it is you, and a password will be sent, as soon as possible. Please note any requests sent after 3:30PM, will be responded to at the start of the next school day (between 8-9AM, depending on the volume of requests).

IF YOU HAVE NO LEARN34 ACCOUNT:

Please complete page 3 of the fillable PDF for the following form: AP 334-1: Google for Education-Consent Form. If you have never done a fillable PDF, please make sure to download the form once you open the link. This will allow you to fill it out and save it to your device. Once saved, please open it from where you saved it to, so you can double check that your information you added is in the saved copy. Please include a digital signature on the form to complete it (this is acceptable during Covid-19). then please email it to kristi.anderton@abbyschools.ca as an attachment with the subject Learn34 Account. Please include your student number and grade in the body of the email to help process it. Keep the original saved on your computer or print it out, so that you have it. If you prefer a paper copy you can pick one up in the LC or main office and once it is complete return it to the LC or main office.
