Dance 9
Dance 9 is designed to build the skills and attitudes necessary for a healthy and active lifestyle through a combination of fitness, dance and performance. This course teaches students the importance of physical literacy, healthy and active living and mental well-being. Students will increase their fitness and strength while learning training techniques and principles that will help them remain active throughout their lifetime.
In addition, students will develop skills in a variety of dance styles that will culminate in full dance pieces to be performed for an audience at the semester-end show. Students will also learn strategies to manage mental health and build healthy relationships. No previous dance experience is required.
