First Chapter Friday (or Meet a Book Monday, We Read Wednesday, etc.) is a fun and easy way to introduce new, high-interest books into your classroom. It gives the students an opportunity to hear a different book each week with the hope that some of them may want to continue reading (or listening to) the rest of the book.

How it works: Once a week read one or two chapters of an engaging book to your class (or play the audiobook version). These books are available to sign out in the library or on the Sora app. I will update the book list monthly. I will also happily take any recommendations for novels you think would work well.
