Graduation
Ceremonies
Students will sign up online for a ceremony time from April 22nd - April 30th.
We’re thrilled to celebrate your achievements at the MBSS Grad Ceremonies! Here’s everything you need to know to make this event memorable:
Event Details:
When: Ceremonies will take place over two days (June 11 and June 12). Students will select a ceremony time on one of these days.
Where: Mount Boucherie Secondary School
Eligibility and Fees: To participate in the ceremony, make sure to pay your "Grad Ceremony" fee by Feb 26th. Payments can be conveniently made online through School Cash.
Ceremony Sign-Up:
Graduates will be assigned to groups of 65. On April 22, a sign-up link will be posted in the Grad Google Classroom.
Sign-up is open from April 22nd until April 30th.
Students may only select one time slot.
Booking is first-come, first-served, and we are unable to accommodate special requests due to the high number of participants.
Please talk with your family and friends ahead of time and come prepared with a backup time in case your first choice is full.
Flexibility is key — not everyone will get their preferred time, but every ceremony will be equally meaningful.
Ceremony Times (sign up online starting April 22):
Friday, June 12: 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm
Saturday, June 13: 9:30 am, 11:30 am, 1:30 pm, 3:30 pm, 5:30 pm
Guests:
Each graduate may bring up to 7 guests. Please do not exceed this limit, as additional guests will be turned away at the door. There are no tickets required — graduates will check in at the entrance with all of their guests as one group.
If you know you won't be using all 7 spots, you're welcome to connect with other grads in your time slot who may be looking for extra seats. Just make sure the total number of guests per grad group remains within the overall limit.
Good Standing Requirements: To participate, you must be in "Good Standing," which means:
You have completed all provincial graduation course requirements.
All fees are paid.
All library books are returned or paid for.
Day of the Ceremony:
We anticipate that each ceremony time will take approximately 1 hr 30 min.
Arrival: Please arrive with your guests at least 20 minutes before your scheduled time. Check in as a group at the front entrance of the school. No tickets are needed; just check in with your guests.
Parking: Parking is limited, so we strongly encourage carpooling to avoid the hassle of finding a spot and to ease traffic flow.
Dress Code: Arrive wearing your grad gown, v-stole, cap, and tassel. Be sure to take all photos before the ceremony, as you’ll need to return your v-stole immediately after the event.
Photos: Mountain West Studios will be on site to take one complimentary photo of each grad with their guests.
Post-Ceremony: After the ceremony, please exit the premises promptly to make room for the next group and to assist our volunteers in preparing for the subsequent ceremonies.
Regalia Pickup: You will receive your graduation regalia (cap, gown, v-stole, and tassel) during the assembly on May 31st.
