Meet Our Team

Ms. Manca is all about living life to the fullest, but doesn't drink coffee so she often looks a little tired.

At work, you'll find Ms. M. "in the zone." At home she's either with her daughters, hiking, reading, or dreaming up her next tattoo. Most of her free time is spent on outdoor adventures, hikes, or road trips.

One thing about me-I LOVE my job! I'm a teacher-librarian from a long line of master educators. My great aunt published a pamphlet on how to run a library in the early 1900s. More recently my Auntie helped write the BC Primary Program, my dad was an incredible administrator and my mom was known as THE music teacher extraordinaire in our community for over twenty years. Their legacies shape my love of teaching and learning today.

I'm also a reader, a traveler, a wife (嫁雞隨雞，嫁狗隨狗) a mom to two young adults-and to our dog  Bailey, who is convinced he is the most important member of the family.

I’m excited to be part of the KSS library and to get to know the students, the staff, their interests, and, hopefully, a few of their favourite books along the way!
