Redesigning Task 1 was actually hilarious to me. Not only was it interesting to change the mode in which the information was given to the reader/listener, the fact that we're completing it almost two months after the original task 1 also added some interesting concepts! As I was re-writing my story about what's in my bag, I was actually laughing at the ridiculous items that were in fact IN MY BAG!
I completed the audio portion of this task in one take, without any edits, or starting and stopping the microphone. This shows the most raw version of myself, as I tell my "story" to the audience with a lot of "ummm" and "uhhhhh" mixed in. As I was listening back, I was slightly embarrassed of these flaws, and pondered whether I should re-do parts of my story. I then realized, that's what makes it authentic - it's personal, and individual, as the New London Group states. That's what makes it me. In fact, I went back and revisited task 1, and I realized that this most recent task 7 is much more "ME" than the original typed out version. Although I feel like my "voice" really comes out in my writing a lot of the time, I felt more relaxed dictating my story orally as opposed to having to type it out, check for spelling, grammar, clarity, etc.

Task 7 - What's in Your Bag AUDIO VERSION
PS - I was unsure whether I was supposed to show the photo of my bag, or just describe the items in it without any visual representation. I chose to show the photo, as the mode I changed wasn't necessarily the photo itself, but the way I chose to explain the contents of my bag - written versus audio. I figured that task 7 had been left open intentionally in this regard.
