At our Wolverine community assembly this week, Mrs. Summerland's Grade 5 class taught us a CTE Wolverine song that they wrote. Awesome job Grade 5 Wolverines!!  We also talked about how to "BE A GOOD LOSER" and the importance of how we play games with each other.  Afterall, Wolverines take care of others!  We played a few minute-to-win-it games and drew Kindness ticket winners.

Thank you to Wilf Pauls, a local author and grandfather to one of our students, who came and shared one of his hockey stories.  He brought table hockey which all the grade 4/5 students loved playing!

We are excited to be providing shirts to our Wolverines who need them. A huge thank you to the PAC for financially supporting this community building project!  

If your child is new, or has outgrown theirs, please let us know what size they will need to carry them through next year as well.  We will not be ordering them in the next school year (2024/2025), but will make sure that we have some for our new September 2024 Kindergarten and new students.  If you find you have an extra Wolverine shirt, please consider donating it to the school and we will make sure it gets into good hands. You can drop any used Wolverine shirts off at the office.

The Grade 5s will be selling popcorn to raise money for their year end experiences!  Sales will open on Monday and will close each Thursday night. Popcorn will be handed out to classes on Friday.  Please go to School Cash Online to purchase popcorn.

The Boys and Girls Club runs a preschool out of Chieft Tomat and they have space for 3 and 4 year olds on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. A reminder to all of our CTE Community that we are an All-Nut Aware School. As we have students and staff with life threatening allergies to nut products, we ask that families are extremely vigilant in ensuring that nuts or food containing nut products are not sent to school. Thank you for being proactive in your decision on what your child can bring to school. 

Parents, caregivers and families are always welcome at CTE. Many have expressed interest in volunteering at our school. All volunteers must have a criminal record check completed through our school district. The process is free and criminal record check forms are available at the school office. A successful criminal record check is valid for four years. Please note that criminal record checks that are offered for a fee on various websites are not accepted by the school district, and neither are criminal record checks done for other organizations. If you have had a previous criminal record check and want to see if it is still valid, or have any questions, you are encouraged to contact the school office.
