Our classes will be heading to the Farmers’ Market on Wednesday, October 15th to help prepare for the Young Entrepreneurs Fair! Please ensure students arrive dressed for the weather—a warm jacket is recommended as the mornings are getting cooler. The kids are welcome to bring a small amount of spending money if they’d like to purchase something from the market, but this is completely optional. We’re looking forward to a great morning exploring local produce, crafts, and community vendors!
GMS photo retakes are scheduled for Monday, October 20th! Students who missed the first photo day or would like a new photo will have a chance to participate- bring your smile!
Grade 6 students will design, create, and sell their own products as part of the Young Entrepreneurs Program. Their learning will be showcased at the GMS Christmas Market on the morning of December 4th, where they’ll bring their business ideas to life!
GMS is taking part in the “We Scare Hunger” campaign- a community initiative to help fight food insecurity and support local families in need. From now until October 31st, we’re collecting non-perishable food items. The class that brings in the most items by Halloween will earn class points and an awesome prize! Let’s work together to make a difference — one can at a time!
Mrs. Wagenar, our social-emotional and behaviour specialist, spoke with all sixth grade classes about the importance of keeping our hands and feet to ourselves. Please take a moment to review the GMS Code of Conduct that may be found on our school website.
