Read-Alouds: Reading aloud helps students learn how to use language to make sense of the world; it improves their information processing skills, vocabulary, and comprehension. Reading aloud targets the skills of audio learners. Research has shown that teachers who read aloud motivate students to read.
IMSE: Our program allows children to break down how and why letters and words sound the way they do. Using multiple senses, children can better understand the rules of the English language.
Vocabulary
Red Words: "Red Words" are what you might call sight words. These are common words that need to be memorized, because they often do not follow phonics rules.
