AP economics

Welcome to AP Microeconomics

This course provides students with a comprehensive analysis of the principles of microeconomics. It is designed to examine basic economic concepts, analyze the nature and function of product markets and factor markets, and study what happens when the market fails and the consequential role of the government in the economy.

This course has three main objectives:

1. To gain an understanding of the basic economic concepts and then to apply these concepts to the product and factor markets.

2. To generate, interpret, label, analyze graphs, charts and data to describe and explain economic concepts.

3. To gain understanding of economic decision making and its factors, such as marginal analysis and opportunity costs.
