**Students should finish reading How to Read Literature Like a Professor (Chapters 12-27). Students should also read The Things They Carried by Tim O'Brien as well as their choice of bildungsroman novel from the list provided on the summer reading list.
One notebook used exclusively for English class – the acceptable types are:
A 1" three-ring binder with plenty of looseleaf paper
OR
A PERFORATED spiral notebook with at least three sections
One folder for handouts, activities, etc. (3-hole if you are using a binder)
One composition notebook
