About the Buzzer Blast Editors

Caleb is currently a junior at Hastings High School. He likes playing tennis, ping-pong, and video-games with friends, usually regardless of how late it is. He also loves reading fantasy and science fiction books—his favorite authors being Arthur C Clarke and Isaac Asimov—as well as going on bike rides and travelling. He’s a big fan of hiking—be it in the Alps or the Appalachians—and spends most of his summers doing so. You can usually find him at his desk on his computer, where he spends most of his day!

A veggie burger enthusiast, Kaylee is a junior who loves running, reading fun biochemistry textbooks, and immersing herself in awesome neuroscience research articles. She also plays the clarinet, enjoys surfing occasionally, and loves rock climbing despite an on-and-off fear of heights. She’ll conclude this bio with the way she concludes literally everything: Have a great day!

Currently a junior at HHS, Jacob loves reading—particularly fantasy books—woodworking, and is always down for some late night video games with friends. He’s played the double bass since 3rd grade and he is in three groups at HHS: Orchestra, Jazz Band, and Sinfonia—a small conductorless chamber group. He’ll help you out if you're buying a new computer or, even better, if you're up for some fun building your own!

A current junior and an avid baker and cook, Malcolm also enjoys staying active—through soccer, tennis, and track—year round, playing piano/keyboard in the band Shakedown (@shake_down), and reading or playing video games in his free time. He has recently been taking up bread baking with his extra quarantine time and you can check out all his culinary creations @malco1m_mcnulty on instagram.

A sophomore at HHS, Seamus likes reading and brainstorming article ideas. He loves cross country and playing the piano, though he is not exceptionally talented at either. During quarantine, Seamus will be browsing his favorite Peanuts cartoons.

A junior at HHS, Sophe enjoys music, fashion, and film, and will always be down to dye a friend’s hair. She plays guitar and bass, reads and writes poetry, collects plants and records, knows how to sport a leather jacket, and has definitely seen every Marvel movie way too many times.
