Mission Statement

The mission of the Westlake High School Counseling Department, in partnership with other educators, families and community stakeholders, is to provide a data-driven, comprehensive school counseling program. Our goal is to serve the needs and interests of all students within a positive, safe, and supportive environment. The counseling program is designed to empower all students to succeed and reach their highest potential by helping them develop and strengthen their academic, social & emotional, and post-secondary skills. In an ever-changing world, we seek to support the development of responsible and productive members of society.

The vision of the Westlake High School Counseling Department is to facilitate equal access to a comprehensive school counseling program that promotes well-rounded development and success for all. Through the school counseling program, all students will be challenged to explore their passions, interests, and talents leading to increased engagement and continued growth.
