Work permits will be processed by the District Office located at 1400 E. Janss Road in Thousand Oaks from June 29 – July 31, 2026, on Tuesdays and Thursdays each week.
If you are requesting a work permit outside of this time frame you must work with your school to obtain your permit.
Please bring the following items in order to obtain a work permit:
A valid photo I.D.
Please make sure that your contact information is on the work permit form so we can contact you when it is ready for pick-up.

The mission of the Westlake High School Counseling Department, in partnership with other educators, families and community stakeholders, is to provide a data-driven, comprehensive school counseling program. Our goal is to serve the needs and interests of all students within a positive, safe, and supportive environment. The counseling program is designed to empower all students to succeed and reach their highest potential by helping them develop and strengthen their academic, social & emotional, and post-secondary skills. In an ever-changing world, we seek to support the development of responsible and productive members of society.

Through the school counseling program, all students will be challenged to explore their passions, interests, and talents leading to increased engagement and continued growth.
