I have sent all of my students an email to your school email account. Please check your email and learn about how we will be conducting distant learning. I am going to limit all of my communication to Google Classroom so you will not have to check so many different places for information.

Hello Students and Parents,

I hope this message finds your family safe and healthy. I know this time is unusual and the school district is keeping us informed. However, I am curious to hear from the students to see how they are spending their time. In Google classroom I prepared a Google form to srvey the students. Please complete the form so I can learn what each of you are up to. I miss you and hope we can be together soon.

Welcome to Ms. Amenta’s website. I want to introduce myself.

This will be my 21st year teaching and my 17^th year at Sequoia. Prior to teaching I was an accountant. I earned my Masters in Education, Teaching Credential and Bachelor’s degree in Accounting at California Lutheran University.

I grew up in Westlake Village and attended Agoura High School. Go Chargers! After graduating college I worked at the Walt Disney Company before moving to Chicago, Illinois. I returned to California to earn my teaching credential. My father is a retired teacher, principal, professor and college dean. I have two sisters who are also teachers, so you could say education is the family business.

I am married and have two daughters. Both of my girls attend Conejo schools here in Newbury Park. I live in Newbury Park, so you will see me around town; be sure to say hello.

Over the summer I like going to the beach and swimming in our pool. I enjoy visiting Big Bear, San Diego, Santa Barbara, Cambria, Monterey and Santa Cruz. In my spare time I enjoy reading, hiking, going to the movies and learning new things.

I look forward to an enjoyable school year. We only have 180 school days to get the work done, so let’s get started!
