Welcome to sixth grade. My name is Mrs. Makalah Fausset, and this will be my 21th year teaching in the Conejo Valley Unified School District. I started my permanent teaching career at Maple Elementary in 3rd and 5th grade, and have taught 6th at Sequoia ever since.
I grew up in the community. Sequoia was my middle school. After Newbury Park High School, I attended Moorpark Community College, California State University Channel Islands, and as of recent I hold a Masters in Teacher Leadership.
Outside of school I spend my time raising 3 boys with my also teaching husband. Mr. Brandon Fausset teaches at Acacia Elementary. We enjoy surfing and reading at Leo Carrillo beach, boarding at Mammoth Mountain, playing baseball and cheering on the Los Angeles Dodgers.
What you need to know about me is that I value work ethic. Results come from consistent hard work. Show up prepared everyday ready to work, and we will go far. Being prepared is more than having paper, pencil, and a folder. I expect you to eat well, sleep well, and communicate with me, so that we can find success in your learning.
