Kayla Allen

Head Coach

Coach Allen is entering her second season at VR. Last year, she received her 100th career victory while coaching the Rangers. Previously, she coached at Marshall HS where she completed her 2021 season with a Bi-District Championship for the first time in program history. 

She grew up in Keller, TX where she played volleyball and graduated from Keller High School in 2013. She attended East Texas Baptist University to continue her volleyball career, majoring in Math Education and minoring in Kinesiology in 2016. Upon graduation, Coach Allen entered to Master's program at ETBU where she graduated with an MEd focusing on Sports Leadership. 

Her and her husband Craig, and dogs Pepper and Dexter,  love being a part of the Ranger Family.

John Henze

Assistant Coach

This is Coach Henze's second year coaching the Rangers. Last year he coached the junior varsity and started the Men's Club Program at Vista Ridge.  He came to VR from Tomball Memorial where he also helped start the Men's Club Volleyball program. 

He grew up in Spring, TX where he graduated from Klein High School in 2017. He attended Texas A&M, where he found his passion for volleyball while majoring in Vertebrate Zoology and minoring in Education.

He is married to Nicole and they have a dog, Bubbles. 

Ashyr Kleist

Assistant Coach

Coach Kleist is starting her second year at VR after her move from Georgia. She previously coached lacrosse for 5 years and has taught Social Studies.

She grew up in Augusta, GA where she attended Augusta State University majoring in History and minoring in Secondary Education.

Coach Kleist loves being a Ranger and coaching Volleyball and Soccer.
