Members can choose to compete in Competitive Events that employ skills and knowledge learned through Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) education. Competing at regional, state, and national levels in Competitive Events enables members to explore Career Pathways and address significant personal, work, and societal issues. There are more than 30 STAR Events students can choose to compete in, all of which recognize participants who demonstrate their knowledge, skills, and abilities to actively identify an issue, research the topic, and develop and implement a project to advocate for positive change. Examples include interior design, fashion design, entrepreneurship, and so much more!
