About Me

Background - Who I Am

I grew up in Houston, TX and graduated from Bellaire High School. After that, I moved to the great city of Austin for college. I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering and Plan II Honors. The following year, I moved to Bialystok, Poland for a Fulbright Grant. In Poland, I taught bachelor's and master's students at the University of Bialystok.

Now that I'm back in Texas, I am excited to start teaching at GHS! This will be the first year of physics at GHS and while there might be some small hiccups along the way, I know this year will be a great one for our students and teachers.

Teaching

I started my teaching career at the Houston Museum of Natural Science, where I was a camp coordinator and a tour guide. In college, I traveled to Cambridge, UK to work as a TA for a study abroad course. In my final years at UT, I started the UTeach Natural Science program to earn my teaching certificate. In Poland, I worked with Polish students earning the bachelor's and master's degrees.

Outside of the Classroom - Hiking and Camping

I love traveling around Texas and the US to see state and national parks and experience the outdoors. I have been to Big Bend, the Smokey Mountains NP, the Rocky Mountains, Zion, the Grand Canyon, and many more. At GHS, I hope to introduce Glenn students to the great outdoors.
