Exam for Acceleration

Exams for Acceleration test registration and windows are set by the district for students in grades 1–12. Tests must be taken and scores must be received prior to the start of the course to accelerate. To learn more about EA testing and to register for EA testing, contact your campus counselor.

Exam for Acceleration SUMMER Testing Options for current K - 5 students:

Key Information:

• Registration is for whole grade level acceleration only

• All exams are electronic. 

  • Students use their own device; in-person testers without one will be provided a laptop.

• Testing in June is only available for currently enrolled students. 

  • New enrollees cannot register for EA exams through the district. 

• Retakes are not allowed. Only the first score counts.

• Students must score 80%+ on each exam in all four grade levels to accelerate.

Please Note:

For All Exam for Acceleration Tests, parents will receive an email with a link to sign up for a specific testing time within the testing window.  If no email has been received one week prior to testing, please contact Ashlee Pope at 512-570-0313 

All exams will be electronic for Summer testing and students will use their own devices.  If students do not have a device, a laptop will be provided  This will be the last opportunity for students to test for grade-level advancement next year.  Once the exams are ordered, the exams are not reimbursed if a student does not take the exam.  Unfortunately, there is not a make-up day after the testing window closes.  

Students taking 3rd - 12th-grade exams that are not available during the testing windows can order an exam through UT and complete it remotely.  ***Note that this option is not available for K-2 students.
