Biotechnology Aptitude and Competency Exam (BACE) (Formerly Biotechnician Assistant Credentialing Exam)All MI students may choose to sit for the BACE exam in April of each year, where their biotechnology knowledge and skills will be tested. Biotility produced this video clip highlighting the exam and its benefits.
Students are well equipped to pass the exam after taking the MI course, where we have seen pass rates of 80.5% here at VHS compared to the national pass rate of ~43%. The BACE credential is an amazing resume builder that shows that a student is prepared to work in a lab setting and can open doors for research opportunities in undergraduate life.
