***IMPORTANT: I will be using Google Classroom for all assignments and updates. Please read the following:
Parents and Guardians,
Ask your student for an invitation to join our Google Classroom for 2018-2019 as a Guardian in order to receive important classroom information. All you need to do is share your preferred email address with your student in order for them to send you an invitation.
What does this mean exactly? When guardians join a student’s Google Classroom, they receive regular, automatic email summaries. Guardians choose the frequency of the emails—daily or weekly—and can unsubscribe at any time.
Guardian email summaries include:
- Missing work—Work that’s late at the time the email was sent
- Upcoming work—Work that’s due today and tomorrow (for daily emails) or work that’s due in the upcoming week (for weekly emails)
- Class activity—Announcements, assignments, and questions recently posted by teachers
Thanks for supporting your student and joining our Google Classroom to receive daily or weekly email summaries!
About The Director:
Celeste Schneider, a Leander ISD graduate, received her BA in Communications and Musical Theatre from Belmont University in Nashville, TN. She is a classically and commercially trained vocalist and has served as a vocal and acting coach for 10+ years. Former Miss Teen Austin, she is also a published singer/songwriter and has studied Beijing Opera in China where her love for Eastern culture and theatre was born. Some of her favorite student roles to perform were Nellie in South Pacific and Adelaide in Guys and Dolls.
Ms.Schneider began her theatre teaching career in east Texas and eventually moved home to central Texas, teaching at Four Points Middle School and a short time in Pflugerville ISD. She is excited to be at Vandegrift this year and feels blessed to have the opportunity to work with such wonderful students, parents and staff.
