Hello! I am Deanna Santagata and I will be your student's instructor for the year. I have both a B.A. in History and English from Texas State University. I am also a first generation college graduate. I am passionate about helping kids succeed and achieve their goals! Before coming to Henry Middle School, I developed and taught an AP American Studies at Hutto High School and served as the English Department Chair. Prior to my time at Hutto, I taught American Studies at Manor New Technology High School. This will be my fifteenth! year in education. I am really looking forward to engaging your student in their learning process and helping them develop into critical readers, writers, and thinkers.

Some of my hobbies including reading, sewing, baking, and bullet journaling. I teach sewing classes for kids in Austin on the weekend at Beehive Craft Studio.

I want all students and parents to feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have. I will respond to emails within a day and try to respond ASAP.

I am looking forward to an excellent year! GO HAWKS!
