Hello Raiders!
If you are planning on driving to campus and parking your car in the parking lot, you will need to have a campus parking permit.
Here are your next steps:
Get your VOE if needed (you need to do this for your permit and for your license). If you already have your license then skip to step 2.
If you are getting your permit/license, you will need a Verification of Enrollment Form (VOE). In order to get your VOE you will need to make sure that:
- you have made up any hours you owe and
-you have filled out the VOE Request form at least 24 hours before you need to pick it up.
Set up your account and pay for your Parking Permit through the Rouse Webstore (My School Bucks)- give at least a day for the system to clear. Please bring your receipt with you, a screenshot of your receipt is fine too. Instructions for setting up your My School Bucks account can be found here.
Come to Ms. Garcia in the AP office. If you can, please make an appointment by emailing her at lulu.garcia@leanderisd.org
Fill out the Student Parking Registration Form. You will not be able to get your permit if you have not signed the Parking Agreement.
Bring your Permit/License, Insurance information and your License plate number with you.
Once that is done, you will get your permit and be on your way! Please remember that parking on campus is a privilege, not a right and parking lot rules are enforced at all times.
Things to know before you come to pick up your permit:
Bring your receipt, valid Driver’s License, valid insurance information and your vehicle license plate number. You will need to show Ms. Garcia that your documentation matches what you filled out in your registration form before receiving a permit.
If you have questions, please call 512-570-2000 or email lulu.garcia@leanderisd.org
You may access the Webstore and the Parking Agreement buttons above. Please remember that this is for you to go over but you will need to sign the Parking Agreement in person before you get your permit.
FAQs:
Are we allowed to leave during lunch or Advocate if we have a car?
No. All LISD campuses are closed campuses which means that you may not leave during the school day for any reason unless checked out by a parent/guardian. If you are 18 you may sign yourself out but we will need to talk to a parent/guardian before you leave to let them know and make sure that you are allowed to do so. If you leave during the day and are not checked out, you may receive school consequences.
What happens if I lose my permit?
Please let Ms. Garcia know and she will give you a replacement, there will be a $5.00 replacement fee.
The parking lot is huge, do we have assigned parking spots?
Not really, there are no assigned spaces, however there are designated lots, please pay attention to the following:
Students are not allowed to park in the front parking lot or the Athletics parking lot unless given special permission. Students need to park on the south side lot which is the lot closest to Wiley Middle School.
Please remember that the front row of the parking lots are reserved for visitors and teachers.
Can I share my tag?
Nope! Your tag is registered to you and only you. If for instance, you get a new vehicle just come to the AP office and let Ms. Garcia know and she will update your form.
I forgot something in my car can I just run out and get it?
Also no, you will need to let your teacher know and they will write you a pass to the AP office and someone will escort you to the parking lot to get your forgotten item.
I am a sub-campus student, do I need to buy two parking permits?
No, you will buy the permit for your home campus and it will be honored at both schools. You will need to sign the parking agreements for both campuses though so make sure you let both schools know.
Are the parking lots monitored?
We do not have cameras in the parking lot, however we do have a parking lot attendant who is out monitoring the lots. Just a reminder that we are not responsible for damage done to vehicles, and you are parking with other student drivers. Students are not allowed out to their cars during the school day unless they get permission and go to the AP office to have someone watch them go to their car.
