About Mrs. LEURY

Welcome to QUEST! I am looking forward to getting to know each of you, here is a little about me to start. I am a native Texan and grew up in Austin. In fact, my parents still live in the house they bought in 1972. I graduated from Travis High School in Austin and received my Bachelors Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and my Masters Degree in Elementary Education from Southwest Texas State University. I still say Southwest Texas State even though it is now called Texas State. My husband, Paul, and I have been married for 20 years and we have a 17-year-old son who is a senior at Vista Ridge High School. 

This is my 20th year teaching in LISD. I have been a teacher and an instructional assistant in QUEST for the past 12 years. Aside from teaching QUEST, I taught 3rd grade at Mason and Whitestone Elementary schools. I’m looking forward to an enjoyable year of thinking and learning with your child.
