Lia Politi

Hello! My name is Lia Politi and I teach Art 1, Drawing 2, 3, 4, AP Drawing, & AP 2D Design. In these classes, we focus on learning the basics all the way up to preparing for college and making a personal art portfolio.  This includes working with a wide variety of materials, learning about both historical and new artists, and practicing various techniques.

As a teacher, I believe most in fostering creativity and helping my students not only in art but in life! I love getting to know students and helping the class feel like one big family. In my free time, I like to rock climb, mountain bike, travel and see live music. I also make my own art, which is on my website at liapoliti.com. For any questions at all you can contact me at lia.politi@leanderisd.org or at 512-570-1800 x41956.

My tutoring times are Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, "A" days will be before school and "B" days will be after school.

I sponsor National Art Honor Society! Let me know if you have questions about joining.

***We are always accepting donations of items that can be used in art. For example, magazines, broken machinery, patterned envelopes, maps, books and basically anything you might be getting rid of!***
