Counselor Roles

What are we doing?

Most of my time is spent visiting classrooms teaching different guidance lessons. Lessons teach kids about goal setting, problem solving, responsible behavior, communication skills, self-esteem, interpersonal effectiveness, motivation to achieve, cross-cultural awareness and college & career readiness. 

Meeting with individual students as needed for help with peer conflicts, academics, their emotions and problem solving is also a top priority at Naumann.

Another way I work with students are in groups.  Our groups meet once or twice a week for several weeks to work on specific skills/tools together.
