About Me

Hi, I'm Mrs. English! I am so excited to be teaching 6th grade ELA this year!! This will be my fifth year as an educator. This will be me third year teaching at HMS. I am passionate about teaching students how to critically think and how to become the best version of themselves. I am recently married to my husband, Coach English, who teaches P.E. at Winkley Elementary. We are expecting our first daughter in October! I have 2 Sheepadoodle puppies! Piper is 3 and Biscuit is 1 year old. I enjoy exercising, reading, playing pickleball, playing board games, and spending time with my family. I can't wait to get the year started with you!

-I attended Rutledge elementary school as a student

-I taught 3rd grade at Rutledge

-I attended Henry Middle School as a student

-I taught 5th grade in Johnson City ISD

-My favorite foods are sushi and Thai food
