Hello! My name is Amy Allen. I am a graduate of Leander ISD, having graduated from Vista Ridge HS in 2016. I received my Bachelors degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (fancy word for Education) from University of Texas at San Antonio in 2020. This is my third year at The Brush, and am very excited to continue my journey as a teacher and grow with my students this year!

I come from a long line of female educators, starting with my grandmother who taught Pre-K, to my older sister who taught middle school ELA in McKinney, Tx. I am a big history nerd, lover of travel, and a proud cat mom as well as first time auntie to my sisters adorable twins.  As someone who hated Language Arts as a kid, I hope to spark the love of reading and writing that was sparked in me from my 7th grade ELA teacher, Ms. Jones.
