A personal narrative is a fancy name for writing about your life. It might be a small everyday happening or a large life event. It is some event, or experiences, from one's own life that they would like to write about.
They recount a well-elaborated event or short sequence of events, include details to describe actions, thoughts, and feelings, use temporal words to signal event order, and provide a sense of closure.Â
For example: Learning to ride my bike. Almost breaking my foot at a football game. Getting stitches in my lip. When I got my first dog.
