I grew up in Florence, Kentucky and attended Western Kentucky University on a speech and debate scholarship.  Upon college graduation, I began working in marketing and advertising in the Cincinnati DMA, selling television advertising on cable insertion networks such as ESPN, HGTV, and Food Network.  Even though I had a lucrative career in media, I wasn't happy...and it was during this time that I reconnected with my high school speech coach who encouraged me to go back to school to become a teacher.  In 2014, I graduated with my Masters in Teaching from Morehead State University.

I taught for 3 years in Kentucky before my family decided to move to Austin, Texas in 2017.

I started teaching at VRHS in 2020--GO RANGERS!
