Counseling Lessons (Classroom)
Counseling lessons are taught at least once a month in the classroom. The lessons cover topics such as personal safety, college & career, self-esteem, and coping skills.
Small Group Lessons
Small group support is provided to students based on parent and teacher feedback through collaboration with the counselor. Students often benefit from small group lessons regarding coping skills, anxiety, friendships, empathy, social skills, and more.
Individual Support
A student may need individualized support if they are displaying a social, emotional, or academic need. Individual referrals to the school counselor may be made by the student, a parent, or by school staff and administration. School counseling services do not constitute or substitute for professional therapeutic care.
Parent & Teacher Collaboration
Counselors partner with parents and teachers to help establish a positive, welcoming learning environment for all students. Parents may call the counseling office to schedule an appointment or a phone conference. Matters of urgency will be given priority.
Parents/Guardians may use this form to refer a student to meet with the school counselor
