All About Me

I live in Vista Oaks with my husband, Matt, and our 3 kids, Eleanor, Nathan, and Jacob. Ellie and Nate are starting 7th grade at Stiles Middle School this year and Jacob is in 4th grade here at Akin. We have two dogs, Grover and Dasher. 

I love traveling, the beach, and spending time with family and friends. We love being outside, especially hiking, biking, boating, swimming, and going to parks. I love baking, cooking, playing board games, and reading. 

I graduated from the University of Iowa in 2004 with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I have taught pre-K, Kinder, 1st grade, and 4th grade and spent a year as a substitute here at Akin in all grade levels and subject areas.
