About me

Hi families! I am so excited to welcome you to our 4th grade classroom and to partner with you this year! My name is Mukti Thakkar, and I’ll be your child’s Language Arts and Social Studies teacher. This is my seventh year at Cox Elementary and my third year teaching 4th grade.

Cox truly feels like home to me, and I love being part of this wonderful community. My family and I live in Cedar Park. My daughter is beginning her journey at UT Austin’s McCombs School of Business, and my son is starting 9th grade at Vista Ridge High School, so we have lots of exciting milestones in our house this year! When I’m not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, trying new foods, shopping, and painting. 

I can’t wait to meet you and your child, share our classroom space, and start this amazing year together. Let’s make it a fantastic 4th grade year!
