About me

Hello and welcome to my page! My name is Jill Kost and I am a member of the Vista Ridge World Language team. I am so excited to be here and have a great year at VRHS. I do not want to be a stranger, so let me tell you a little about my background.  

I was born and raised in Northeastern Pennsylvania. If you are a fan of the best show ever, The Office, then you must know Scranton, PA. I am from a small town about twenty minutes from there called Hanover Township. Growing up on the east coast was great, but I am so happy to be here in Texas and complete my 6th year at Vista! When I am not teaching and learning, I love to spend time with my family, friends, and puppy, Gemma.

As far as my education, I earned my degree in Spanish from a local college called King's College. During this time, I had the opportunity to study Spanish at Middlebury College Language Schools in Vermont and el centro norteamericano in Sevilla, Spain. After I graduated, I moved on to Portsmouth, VA, to teach. 

I love and appreciate the Spanish language and the connection it brings between people. By knowing Spanish, I have made so many beautiful friendships and memories. I hope to inspire you to learn as well!
