Megan Weston is in her 17th year of teaching and 6th year with the Cedar Park Middle School choir program. Mrs. Weston is a native of Louisville, Kentucky where she taught choir and general music for 8 years prior to moving to Cedar Park in 2016. Megan Weston was also the head director at Four Points Middle School from 2016 - 2019. In her time at both Johnson Traditional Middle School and Four Points MiddleSchool, the programs thrived under her leadership, with both programs more than tripling in size!

Mrs. Weston is a graduate of the University of Kentucky where she earned a bachelors of music in music education (2008) and a Masters of music in music education, emphasis in choral conducting (2016). While in college, she was a member of the UK Chorale, UK Women’s Choir, and pop a cappella ensemble Paws N Listen.

In her time as a music educator, Mrs. Weston has had students selected for honor choirs at the region, state, national and international level. She served as an adjudicator for Large Group Choral Assessments as well as Solo and Ensemble contests during her time teaching in Kentucky. She has also served in various leadership roles in her district, county and region (JCPS All-County Coordinator, KMEA Region 12 vocal representative, KMEA MS Choir Sight Reading committee, and TMEA Region 32 MS Judge Coordinator) In 2016, she was selected to present a session at the KMEA Annual Convention titled “Building a Quality Middle School Choral Community”. 

Mrs. Weston has been married to her husband Keith for 17 years and they have three children. Her daughter Leah is a 7th grade choir member of her Varsity Treble Choir and she has 5 year old twins, William and Wyatt. She also enjoys playing volleyball and getting in a good nap whenever she can!
